1000 Islands Diving Adventures

When it comes to clear water diving, you can't beat the near 100' visibility the 1000 Islands can offer. When it comes to a three or four day dive trip get-a-way packages, including diving, deluxe accommodations and gourmet meals, you can't beat our services and value.

But before you get started, let us tell you who we are and what we do:

Please don't mistake us for a dive shop. We do not offer daily dive trips or rent equipment.
For information on day dive trips please visit the Clayton Chamber of Commerce website.

We are located on the bank of the St. Lawrence River in the small, historic resort village of Clayton, NY, in the geographical center of the 1000 Islands region. With the Thousand Islands Inn as you headquarters, we offer complete dive trip packages, including accommodations, all meals during your stay and wreck dives, for which we provide certified supervisory dive masters. Although we take divers in groups as small as two, we specialize in groups of 14 and more, up to a total of 24.

As the only diving operation on the U.S. side of the 1000 Islands registered with the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security,  we are the only one that offers wreck diving on both U.S. and Canadian wrecks for groups of 12 or more. (Canadian dives might require a reasonable p/p surcharge, just to cover additional fuel costs and all divers require acceptable indentification)

Our boats are captained by USCG licensed captains and all groups are accompanied by, and supervised where necessary, by certified dive masters.  No other St. Lawrence River/1000 Islands operation offers the experience and professional expertise that we do to insure your safety and enjoyment. Boats are oxygen equipped and meet all U.S.C.G. safety requirements. Unlike some operators, our credentials and safety history go unchallenged.

This year especially,  in looking for a dive trip destination, you might want to think about the cost! For Americans considering a 1000 Islands dive vacation in Canada, remember that $100 U.S. dollars were worth $120 Canadian dollars last season. $100 is now only worth $99.  This means that a dive trip vacation based on the U.S. side will see you getting 100% value for your dollar. If you have taken a dive trip in Canada in the past, when the exchange was favorable to the U.S. dollar, or are thinking about one for 2008, expect to see a major difference (about a 22% increase),  in your final cost of the trip, compared to a similar dive trip from the U.S. side, with us.

Why not begin planning a 1000 Islands diving adventure right now for the 2008 season by giving us a call to check on availability and then getting your group together?
A deposit of $100 per diver and $50 per non-diver will insure your reservation and we offer a complimentary trip to organizers of groups of 14 or more paid divers.

Don't miss introductions on two stories in a Dive Journal Magazine series on the 1000 Islands, published in the Sept./Oct. and Nov./Dec. issues.

Then...be sure to read a story that appeared in  Skin Diver magazine on freshwater wreck diving in the 1000 Islands.
